Following recent rumours that they may soon be King and Queen, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark took a break from official business to spend a fun winter holiday with their two children in Verbier, an exclusive resort in the Swiss Alps.

Adorable blonde tots Christian, 4, and Isabella, 2, were bundled up in snow gear and seemed to have a ball frolicking in the white stuff with mum and dad.

During the outing, Christian made snow angels with dad Frederik while little Isabella looked on from the comfort of her mother's arms.

Verbier, a favourite destination of the Danish royals, has become an annual vacation spot for Frederik's family, as well as that of his younger brother, Prince Joachim.

But the resort town attracts other royals and celebrities, too.

Its list of past visitors includes Princes William and Harry, their cousins Beatrice and Eugenie, and the Beckham family.
