Prince snake charming: William and Harry meet slithery customer in Africa

The range of comical facial expressions was impressive as Princes William and Harry made a rather slithery acquaintance this week – in the form of a five-metre African Rock Python.

During a trip to The Mokolodi Nature Reserve in Botswana, the brothers were invited to get up close and personal with the snake, which was draped around their shoulders.

Though first looking decidedly unsure, Harry soon found confidence enough to hold the reptile's head, moving it close to his brother.

The wildlife centre the siblings were visiting aims to promote a love of nature in Botswana's youth through environmental education.

William and Harry are on a six-day tour of Africa during which they will visit charity projects in Botswana and Lesotho before watching England take on Algeria at the World Cup.
