They had enjoyed an exciting Olympic week that involved watching her good friend swimmer Chad de Clos clinch a gold medal.
But Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco headed back to the principality on Friday to dance the weekend away at the annual Red Cross Ball.
And former Olympian Charlene was going for gold in a glittering, full-length sequinned gown that showed off her statuesque, swimmer’s physique.

Looking happy and relaxed, the blonde beauty cosied up to her husband as they whirled round the ballroom watched by partygoers.
German rockers Scorpions provided the tunes, played a mellow acoustic set befitting the regal surroundings rather than their usual heavy metal formula.
The fundraiser was held in the lavish Salle des Etoiles of Monte-Carlo’s stunning Sporting Club.
Built by Albert's father Prince Rainier III, it has hosted the gala ever since its foundation in 1948. For many years his dazzling consort Princess Grace would preside.
Following her death Albert’s sisters Princesses Caroline and Stephanie took up the mantle, often attending with Caroline's children Charlotte and Andrea Casiraghi. Unfortunately, this year they were unable to make it.
Andrea’s absence was particularly disappointing for royal watchers – the 28-year-old has not stepped out with his fiancé Tatiana Santo Domingo since their engagement was announced.
Even more exciting the heiress is rumoured to be pregnant with their first child.
Instead on Friday, Their Serene Highnesses were accompanied by Albert’s cousin Elisabeth-Anne de Massy and her daughter Melanie-Antoinette, and Charlene’s brother Gareth Wittstock, with his girlfriend Roisin Galvin.
