Prince William and Kate attend wedding in snowy Switzerland

Pregnant Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William have been spotted in Arosa, Switzerland, where they are attending the wedding of their friends Laura Bechtolsheimer, who won a gold medal in dressage at the London 2012 Olympics, and Mark Tomlinson, who plays polo with both Prince William and Harry

Kate hid her baby bump beneath a fake fur jacket and wore her hair in loose curls. She held a toboggan as she walked in the snow with friends, and was seen chatting and laughing. Among the party was a female friend who carried a baby wrapped up in a cute snowsuit.

Mark Tomlinson has known Princes William and Harry for years. His parents, Simon and Claire, own the exclusive Beaufort Polo Club near Highgrove, and are close friends of Prince Charles. Laura is the granddaughter of a German billionaire and property magnate Karl Heinz-Kipp. "Off to Switzerland now to get into wedding mode..eeek! #grown up!?" she tweeted on Tuesday.

She won team gold and individual bronze on her horse Alf at London 2012 and Old Etonian Mark proposed three weeks later. The couple have been dating for more than three years and were introduced by her brother Goetz. "Alf is still number on," she said at the time. "But the gap has diminished!"

Laura has revealed that she spends the little time she gets off from training with Mark. "My time off involves being a polo Wag and following him around," she says, laughing. "We spend every day together in the summer, but when he is in Argentina [for the polo seasons, from March to May and September to December] we have to rely on visiting each other when we can."
