Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik and his wife Mary this week went back to nature for a trekking trip in the Chilean capital of Santiago. The royals are currently in the South American country on an official three-day visit.
Fashion maven Mary swapped her finery for simple shorts and t-shirt as she and her husband explored the wild beauty of the Chilean wilderness.

In the evening, the Princess dazzled by Frederik's side as they attended a gala to promote Danish companies in the region. Both were representing Queen Margrethe, who was supposed to make the trip to Chile but cancelled due to health problems.
Frederik and Mary's four children – Christian, 7, Isabella, 5, and two year old twins Vincent and Josephine – remained at home in Copenhagen as their parents embarked on another foreign tour.
As well as their stop in Santiago, the couple's itinerary, scheduled to run from the 10th to the 15th of March, was full of cultural and diplomatic engagements.
The royals were due to meet with Chile's President Sebastián Piñera and attend a poetry exhibition held at the former home of late Chilean writer Pablo Neruda.
After visiting the central region of the country, the royal couple are to head north to visit the mining areas near Antofagasta, before enjoying a spot of star-gazing from the Paranal Observatory.Frederik and Mary have a legendary rapport when they carry out engagements abroad, and always ensure there are smiles all round.
In 2012, they were also in Latin America and paid a visit to Brazil. That particular tour took Mary to the Cidade de Deus (City of God) favela where she was treated to a fashion show by local youngsters and visited local education centres.
