Prince William may be able to charm most people he meets - but he failed to impress a cute four-year-old girl who spurned his offer of a kiss.
The royal was on walkabout in Glasgow with his wife Kate Middleton, and after taking a flower from little Shona Ritchie, he leant forward to give her a kiss of thanks but Shona quickly moved her head away.
Crowds had gathered to catch a glimpse of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge who are on a two-day tour of Scotland.
William and Kate began their trip in Glasgow where they visited the city's Emirates Arena, one of the sites for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. The sporty couple watched cyclists in action and saw netball and badminton demonstrations.
The royal couple, who are due to become parents in July, visited a homeless shelter in Glasgow's south side. At Quarriers Stopover, William made a Skype call to two of their former residents who are now on a work exchange programme in the Netherlands.
Their last stop on Thursday is to a launch sports coaching project for their Royal Foundation at the Donald Dewar Leisure Centre in Drumchapel.
