Prince Harry seems to have inspired several parents when it comes to naming their baby, as it has proven to be the most popular boys' name for those born in England and Wales in 2012.
Harry tops the list for the second year in a row, according to the Office for National Statistics. The same can be said for Amelia, which has remained the most fashionable name for girls born in 2011 and 2012.
The charming royal's nephew, Prince George, has already been tipped as a favourite to appear in next year's list, with couples expected to name their sons after Prince William and Kate Middleton's firstborn and third in line to the throne.
The first-time father also made the cut with William ranking ninth place in most popular boys' names. The moniker chosen by Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall for their royal baby, who is thought to be born early next year, could also feature in the relevant top ten list.
Harry proved the most fashionable choice in seven out of ten regions, while Muhammad proved the most popular in London, Jack in the north east and Jacob in Wales.
Behind Harry in the top ten boys' names came Oliver, Jack, Charlie, Jacob, Thomas, Alfie, Riley, William and James, showing that traditional names are still in fashion.
Amelia, meanwhile, was the most popular girls' name in all ten regions surveyed, followed by Olivia, Jessica, Emily, Lily, Ava, Mia, Isla, Sophie and Isabella.
Pop star Amelia Lily shares the favourite moniker, while celebrities Olivia Wilde and Jessica Ennis take the second and third most popular choices.
Names that are said to be making a comeback are the more vintage options such as Hugo and Theodore for boys and Tilly and Violet for girls.
