Guests including Monaco's Pierre Casiraghi and his girlfriend Beatrice Borromeo, members of the Luxembourg's royal Grand Ducal family, the Lademacher family and friends of the couple had gathered to witness the couple say their vows.
The service was conducted by Archbishop Jean-Claude Hollerich and they said their vows in a mixture of French and German.
Once they had emerged from the basilica, Felix, 29, and Claire, 28, made their way through the crowds to the quaint Provençal town's Royal Convent where the celebrations were due to take place.
It was the second wedding ceremony for the duo who had exchanged vows in an intimate civil wedding ceremony in the German town of Königstein, near the bride's home city of Frankfurt on Tuesday.
