In a letter to a young royal fan the diplomatic Duchess of Cambridge said that she had so many cherished pieces that it would be impossible to pick one over another.
Molly Parmeter, a 12-year-old schoolgirl from Carlow in Ireland, wrote to the Duchess asking her to describe her most loved garment to form part of a book she was writing about celebrities' favourite clothes.
"It was a beautiful envelope," said Molly of the St James's Palace letter that arrived earlier this month.
The youngster's project, Molly's Style Icons, features her hand-drawn sketches based on the descriptions she received from her favourite style icons.
The fashion book is now available in Ireland and proceeds are going to the Chic & Cheerful Charity Boutique in Carlow.
