Summer fun for Princess Mary and her children at Legoland
31 JULY 2014
There were fun and frolics aplenty for the Danish royal family on their traditional summer visit to Legoland.
Princess Mary and Prince Frederik had a blast at the attraction with their children and nephews after heading out on a bright, sunny day from Grasten Palace in south Jutland where they usually spend the summer.

The Australia-born princess took charge of their three-year-old twins, Vincent and Josephine, who each received a feathered headdress after visiting Legoland's Native American village.
Meanwhile, Frederik took an altogether more hair-raising option. Dressed in shorts, the future king tackled the rollercoaster with Prince Christian, eight, Princess Isabella, seven, who were seen screaming and laughing in excitement.

The trio were joined by Nikolai and Felix, the children of his brother Prince Joachim. Frederik's cousin Princess Alexandra also attended with her two children.
The previous royal gathering was in June when the reigning monarch Queen Margrethe and her husband Prince Henrik presided over his 80th birthday celebrations in his native France at their home in the southern wine district of Cahors, Château de Cayx.
