The South African beauty, who is expected to give birth to the couple's first child by the end of the year, will accompany her husband to New York for three engagements next week.

Hosted by Bill Clinton, his wife Hillary and their daughter Chelsea, the annual four-day conference will focus on the theme of Reimagining Impact – encouraging members to rethink about the way they impact the world.

Albert and Charlene will be among a star-studded guest list, which includes the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Tony Blair and Barack Obama all scheduled to speak at the event.

Organised by UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon, the conference will expect world leaders like Albert to put forward ideas on how to reduce emissions and mobilise environmental policies and such. The 56-year-old father-to-be will also attend Climate Week NYC events, which will have kicked off on Monday.

While Albert will meet with Ban Ki-moon, Charlene has been invited by the UN representative's wife Ban Soon-Taek to attend the Seventh Annual World Focus on Autism meeting on Thursday.

At the 25 September event run by organisation Autism Speaks, spouses of world leaders will gather for an intimate breakfast over which they can discuss autism-related issues.

Soon-taek will also give a speech while Dr. Liri Berisha, the former First Lady of Albania and President of the Albanian Children's Foundation, will be presented with the Global Autism Achievement Award.
