While other members of the Swedish royal family, including King Carl XVI Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Princess Madeleine and Christopher O'Neill, were seated apart for the evening's banquet, Carl Philip and Sofia sat side-by-side.
Guests at the ceremony dined on cream of cauliflower soup, mosaic of red king crab with peas and lemon pickled cauliflower florets, followed by spiced loin of red deer, carrot terrine, salt-baked golden beets, smoked pearl onions, potato purée and game jus.
Dessert was mousse and a sorbet of wild dewberries from Gotland, saffron panna cotta and brown butter sponge cake.
