Speculation is mounting that Princess Madeleine and her husband Chris O'Neill are planning to move to London in the near future. It was confirmed in January that the couple had temporarily moved to Stockholm from New York, as they decide where in Europe they want to be based long term. According to royal sources, the Princess and her 40-year-old husband have been considering London, Paris and Gstaad in Switzerland for their new home, with the British city their "top choice". Princess Madeleine confirmed in December that she would be leaving the United States. Speaking to Sveriges Television programme A Year with the Royal Family 2014, she said the family had decided to relocate to Europe as "that's where we have our families".

Princess Madeleine and her husband are rumoured to be moving to London

Chris' mother Eve lives in central London, while his sister Tatyana is based just outside the city, which appears to make it the most likely choice of home for the couple. Sweden's Expressen newspaper also said that the British-American financier also has a "large circle of friends" in the UK. Despite the speculation, Margareta Thorgren, press spokeswoman for the Royal Court later told the newspaper that nothing has been decided yet. "They have taken the decision to move to Europe and then we'll see where things go," she said.

Princess Madeleine confirmed she was pregnant with her second child in December

Madeleine moved to New York in 2010, following the end of her engagement to Jonas Bergström. It was there that she met Chris, the financier she went on to marry in June 2013. In February the royal couple welcomed their first daughter, Princess Leonore, in New York. On 19 December they announced they were expecting their second baby.
