Zara Tindall's daughter Mia was quite literally the star of the show wearing a cute patterned jumpsuit at an equestrian event in Gloucestershire. The royal Olympian took her cute little girl along when she attended the Heythrop Hunt Point-to-Point races over the weekend. Mia, who turned one on 17 January, looks like a very contented little girl, smiling all the time and observing proceedings closely.

Mother and baby were accompanied by Zara's friend Dolly Maude, who also helped keep an eye on Mia. The royal Olympian explained that on occasion Dolly was mistaken for her nanny but actually has several children of her own. At Sunday's event Zara needed an extra pair of hands as husband Mike Tindall is in Austria competing on reality TV contest The Jump. She had come to watch two horses that she trains competing, Devil's Boy and Frankenstorm.

The Queen's granddaughter combines her career in eventing with motherhood and has so far not relied on a nanny. While it's a very busy life it has the advantage of giving Mia an early introduction to sport. Zara had a similar upbringing watching her mother the Princess Royal and father Mark Phillips, both Olympians at riding tournaments from a young age. The Tindalls are often accompanied by Mia's cousins on their country outings. Zara's brother Peter Phillips has two little daughters called Savannah and Isla, as well as her cousin George, the future King. "We've all got small ones now," says Zara. "So it's great fun."
