Gad Elmaleh will join his girlfriend Charlotte Casiraghi and the rest of Monaco's royal family when they come together to celebrate Prince Albert's ten years on the throne this summer. The French comedian and his royal love, who were notably absent when Albert and Princess Charlene's twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella were baptised on Sunday 10 May, will be out in force to honour Albert's decade-long reign.Given that Gad and Charlotte, who are parents to one-year-old son Raphäel, aren't married, the 44-year-old entertainer has no official obligation to attend royal events. According to HELLO!'s sister publication HOLA, however, Gad has managed to reconcile his comedy tour with his partner's royal duties for the special occasion.

Gad is now due to perform in Monaco on 10 July – a date reportedly chosen especially to ensure that he is in the principality the night before celebrations are planned to mark Albert's reign. The gig is part of Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer, a series of performances that will see stars including Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, Lenny Kravitz, George Ezra and Carlos Santana take to the stage. On the morning of Saturday 11 July, the Grimaldi family will step out to honour Albert's ten-year reign, with much pomp and enthusiasm.

It seems that Gad and Charlotte are doing everything they can to ensure their busy schedules are compatible; which is no easy task given that the comedian and actor has been touring across France, Austria, Morocco, Canada and the USA.While Gad's work commitments mean that he is often overseas, it was in fact illness that kept him from joining 28-year-old Charlotte at Monaco's Rose Ball on 28 March.Taking to Twitter to express his regret at missing the glittering soirée, Gad posted a photo of himself in bed with the caption: "I'm sick of the phrase 'There's nothing you can do about flu' – I have stuff to do!"
