Pierre Casiraghi and his long-term girlfriend Beatrice Borromeo looked more in love than ever as they kicked-off a rally race in Monte Carlo, Monaco. Princess Caroline's son is passionate about the motorsport – as is his uncle Prince Albert, also present at the event – but the cars paled in comparison to Pierre's stunning Italian girlfriend, Beatrice.

The royal and his 27-year-old love held hands and cuddled as they strolled around the track where they later joined forces with Albert. Pierre, 25, hopped into a vintage vehicle as his uncle, who is the principality's ruler, gave the thumbs up. Beatrice, meanwhile, laughed from the sidelines as her beau helped begin the 16th Monte Carlo Historic Rally which travels to cities all over Europe before returning to Monte Carlo. She and Pierre have been inseparable since they met while studying at Milan's prestigious Luigi Bocconi University in 2008. At the time, Pierre was reading Economics which he plans to utilise working in the companies of his late father Stefano Casiraghi, who passed away in 1990. The businesses are currently being managed by his uncle, Marco. For her part, Beatrice, who is the daughter of a count, secured her Law degree. The former fashion model has worked for the likes of Chanel and Roberto Cavalli, and is also an outspoken TV personality and journalist in her native Italy.

There is a real fun-loving side to the couple's relationship, as demonstrated by their annual jet-setting escapades. The pair are often seen cruising the azure waters of St Tropez together, and just last year, they joined Princess Caroline aboard her yacht Pacha III, where she often spends long, lazy summer days cruising the Mediterranean with her four children and their guests. On that occasion, the royal party were joined on their getaway by 41-year-old actor and comedian Gad Elmaleh who is dating Pierre's sister, Charlotte Casiraghi. Life is more settled now for Monaco's youngest prince following a tumultuous year. In 2012, Pierre was left with cuts to his face after an incident in a New York bar. The royal was on a night out in the trendy Meatpacking district when the brawl broke out following an argument in the Double Seven nightclub. He was later treated at the New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Centre before being released. Officials from the Monegasque palace refused to comment at the time.
