Tony Blair's eldest son Euan will marry his long-term girlfriend financial analyst Suzanne Ashman in September, after having been in a relationship with her for more than eight years. The former Prime Minister and his wife Cherie are helping to plan the wedding, and are expected to host a grand reception in the South Pavilion, their Wotton Underwood mansion in Buckinghamshire. Euan and Suzanne got engaged over Christmas, after having bought a house together in Islington, North London in 2012. The low-profile couple have reportedly set 14 September as their special day.

Both Euan and Suzanne have political backgrounds and were introduced by former defence secretary Geoff Hoon when Suzanne was doing work experience with him. She read PPE at Trinity College, Oxford, while Euan graduated with a 2:1 in history from the University of Bristol. There has been much speculation over Euan's career path, with many believing he will follow in his father's footsteps and enter politics.

He is thought to be vying after a Labour seat of Coventry North West where he is based for his work as a business development manager for the governmental work programme, Sarina Russo Job Access. Suzanne, meanwhile, is said to get on very well with her future-in-laws and has previously joined them on family holidays over the years.
