Philip Seymour Hoffman Latest news and updates about the Oscar-winning actor, who died aged 46 of an apparent overdose. Hollywood mourned the loss of the star, who was found on 2 February at his Greenwich Village apartment.

Philip leaves behind his former partner, costume designer Mimi O'Donnell and their three children.

The star won a Best Actor Academy Award for his performance in 2005's Capote, and received further nominations for roles in The Master in 2013, Doubt in 2009 and 2008 film Charlie Wilson's War.

He was also well known for his work in threatre, and earned Tony Award nominations for his work in in Death of a Salesman Long Day's Journey Into Night and True West.

Philip was working on the final Hunger Games film when he died.
