The spa offers breath-taking views over the Pyrenees

There really aren't that many luxury hotels around at 1,850 metres, and still fewer that are right at the foot of a high-class ski slope, which is one of the things that makes Andorra's Sport Hotel Hermitage & Spa so unique. Just a few steps from the cable car to the pistes, it's the perfect place for snow lovers, but also offers a full range of activities so any guest can enjoy that mountain top experience whatever time of year they visit.
When you step across the threshold of the Sport Hotel Hermitage & Spa you will find a haven of elegance and charm. In the lobby, the beautiful carpets underfoot and the fine wooden ceiling beams create a frame for the pleasant and friendly atmosphere, while avant-garde decor, with designer lamps and original sculptures, brings a sophisticated touch unusual in a mountain hotel.
During the summer months, the huge windows allow sunlight to flood into the interior, while in winter they offer stunning views of snowy peaks. The 120 suites, all spacious and with balconies, are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and captivating details such as large whirlpool tubs and complimentary toiletries by Acqua di Parma.
But, as its name suggests, the Sport Hotel Hermitage & Spa is home to another exclusive and indulgent facility: a spectacular 5,000 square metre spa. This island of wellness and relaxation is spread over five floors and offers water circuits, saunas, steam baths and innovative therapies and treatments developed by the prestigious beauty brands Valmont and Payot. One such unique – and invigorating - experience is the Elixir des Glaciers, which uses pure water from the Swiss Valais glacier. A dip in the outdoor jacuzzi while looking out over the beautiful scenery and the ski slopes is an opportunity that can't be matched.
Located right alongside the largest ski area in the Pyrenees, in winter the hotel provides everything you need to enjoy a unique skiing experience: ski pass and ski storage service, equipment rental shop and personalised ski and snowboard lessons, as well as apres-ski activities such as snowmobiling, dog sledding, snowshoeing or mountain lake diving.
In summer, the valleys of the Pyrenees also offer a wide range of activities: horse riding, hiking, quad and 4x4 excursions, not to mention the Grandvalira Golf Soldeu, located at 2,250 metres - the highest golf course in Europe. And all year round there's a kids club where children aged four to 12 can have fun and meet new friends under supervision of hotel monitors.
The hotel boasts two fantastic fine-dining experiences: Restaurant 1.8 with its high-class Mediterranean menu, and Restaurant 5.0 which serves an interesting range of innovative fusion dishes. There are other options available in the resort including two pubs with live music.
