Cool and unusual Spanish hotels

Forget the bland and characterless hotels of the 'costa fortune' and take a look at some of these ultra-modern and ultra-chic hotels on the Iberian peninsula. Not simply places to stay en route, they become part of the sight-seeing tour and destinations in themselves.


How do you fancy sleeping in a tree top? In a red stone fortress? Under the stars? In a converted cinema? Or in a traditional Bedouin haymah? These original hotels appeal to the deepest emotions, the sense of adventure – at times, even to the sense of humour. Journalist David Revelles has joined forces with photographer Oscar Elias to compile a book of the most unusual hotels in Spain and Portugal.
