Stunning shots from across the globe

Breathtaking pictures from all over the world featuring famous landmarks such as New York's Times Square, a young girl harvesting lotus flowers in a lake in Cambodia and a Kingfisher snapped mid-flight catching its prey have made it to the final round of the 2014 National Geographic Traveller Photography competition.

We take a look at the stunning shots that might take the winning crown, which is to be announced on 15 February...
