Model and Miss World 2003 Rosanna Davison, the eldest of Chris's three children with his wife of 36 years Diane, wed her long-term love Wesley Quirke in a romantic ceremony set among fragrant orange groves and beside a pool strewn with flower petals and floating candles.
HELLO! Magazine was there to capture every moving, fun-packed moment of the celebrations at the enchanting five-star Agroturismo Atzaró Hotel and Spa in Ibiza.
The 30-year-old bride and her handsome groom, who's also 30, chose the magical setting after attending the wedding of a friend there two years ago.
"We always knew that when we got married, we wanted to do it somewhere sunny," Rosanna told the magazine. "When we attended my friend's wedding, we both said how much we loved it
"There's something very liberating about being away from home with people who mean so much to you. Because you're there for a few days, everyone gets to know one another so well so it all feels very natural and laid back."
Certainly, when HELLO! caught up with Rosanna on the morning of her big day, a more chilled-out bride would have been hard to find. Having turfed dad Chris out of his room so that she, her mum Diane, the five bridesmaids – maid of honour Veronica Ryan, Katie Jane Goldin, Gillian Fitzpatrick, Hayley Elliott and Dawn Fitzgerald – and her best male friend, "bridesman" Brendan Rogers – could begin the business of beautifying themselves, the atmosphere around the group was one of pure excitement.
It was a different tale from the previous evening, when the heavens had opened during the wedding rehearsal and Rosanna had almost wept as bride and groom felt their dream of clear blue skies seemed to hang in the balance. But they woke to brilliant sunshine, tempered by a gentle breeze that proved a much welcome relief to Wesley's groomsmen, who looked dashing in blue suits from tailor Louis Copeland. Adding a quirky touch, each wore distinctive socks, with father-of-the-bride Chris teaming his petrol-blue suit with a pair in bright fuchsia.
It was the second time in less than a month that Chris had given his daughter away. Rosanna and Wesley, who met ten years ago through friends before getting back in touch two years later via the social networking site Bebo, had had a civil ceremony in their native Dublin two weeks earlier.
