The Diamond Jubilee festivities gets off to a flying start as the Queen is given a warm reception at the Epsom Derby.
Follwing a rousing rendition of the National Anthem by Katherine Jenkins, the 130,000-strong crowd burst into applause.
Earlier, as the monarch arrived in the impressive State Bentley that was a gift for her Golden Jubilee ten years ago, the Royal Standard was raised above the course.
She was once again joined by the Duke of Edinburgh, who shares her passion for horses.
Other members of the family joining the party included Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie who attended with their father, the Duke of York.
Also in the royal party were the Earl and Countess of Wessex , as was Princess Michael of Kent.
