David Cameron pays tribute to 'devoted' Queen

Sunday June 3, 2012

David Cameron has paid tribute to the Queen in an interview with BBC's Andrew Marr on the morning of the second day of Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The Prime Minister has said he expects the Queen to stay at the forefront of public life far beyond this weekend's celebrations.

"You get the sense she will go on doing the amazing job she has done for this country for as long as she possibly can," the Prime Minister told BBC1's Andrew Marr Show when asked if the event might precede any changes to the Queen's role.

He also spoke of the Queen's "100 per cent dedication to her role".

"You never see any sign that her devotion is getting any less. It's hard to think of her ever putting a foot wrong."
