Simon Cowell apparently sent Cheryl Cole a cheeky birthday present, by writing her age in the sky over Las Vegas for all to see.
The X Factor judge was getting his revenge after Cheryl sent a plane with a banner reading "Simon Cowell is 52 today! Ha ha ha! Love Cheryl" in October, knowing he wanted to keep his age a secret.
The Girls Aloud singer was celebrating her 29th birthday with her friends in Vegas at the weekend when Simon sent planes to write out a 10-mile long message in vapour which read: "Cheryl - Congratulations you're 30 next year! ha ha ha Love Simon", the Mirror reports.
Simon splashed out on swanky new Skytyping technique, using five planes to emit a computer-controlled and, apparently, eco-friendly vapour that spells out a message, 10,000ft in the sky so everyone in a 15-mile radius can read it.
Cheryl headed to Sin City with Girls Aloud bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts and the girls tweeted pictures of themselves getting stuck into cocktails on the flight.
After arriving in Vegas Cheryl continued to party hard, as well as catching up with pal Will.i.am at a nightclub where he was DJing.
Nicola tweeted a picture of their dinner table for the party, with all the guests wearing Cheryl Cole masks.
