Prince Harry to coach rugby session

Thursday October 3, 2013

Prince Harry, patron of the Rugby Football Union all schools programme, will join RFU coaching staff at Twickenham to host a session for young people from participating secondary schools across the country.

In addition to joining the youngsters out on the pitch Harry will also take part in kit design workshops inside the stadium, intended to encourage the children to take pride in their team colours.

As Patron, Prince Harry supports the RFU in its ambition for 750 more schools to be self-sufficient rugby playing schools by the next Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan.

The All Schools Programme has been developed by the Rugby Football Union to increase the amount of rugby played in state secondary schools, and to encourage new players to join local clubs. It aims to promote the idea that rugby union is a game for All Schools - everyone can play it and every school can teach it.
