Robert Pattinson on price of fame and co-star Kristen

Tuesday November 3, 2009

Thanks to the huge success of the Twilight saga Robert Pattinson really is the man of the moment.

He hasn't found his meteoric rise to stardom easy to deal with though.
"I'm unbearably self-conscious about stuff," the 23-year-old Londoner said in a recent interview.

"I'm trying not to drown. I guess I'm not the type of guy cut out to do a franchise. I'm not much of a crowd guy," he told Vanity Fair.

Dismissing the looks that made him a teen pinup, Robert added he thought he "looked like an idiot" referring to himself as a "blob" and a "cartoon character".

He also touched on the multiple romance reports surrounding him and co-star Kristen Stewart, insisting there is no truth in the speculation.

"It doesn’t matter what you say. I've literally been across the country (from Kristen) and its like, 'Oh, they were on secret dates,'" he said.

"(We're) good friends. She's the best young actress around. She's influenced how I've done the Twilight stuff."

"It's quite nice to have someone who is genuinely indifferent to the whole spectacle of everything."
