Harry closer to getting his 'wings' after passing exam

Monday May 4, 2009

Third-in-line to the throne Prince Harry was celebrating this week after passing a theory exam which will take him a step closer to gaining his flying 'wings'.
The 24-year-old - who began training in January to become an Army Air Corps helicopter pilot -  reportedly retook the exam after failing it earlier this year.
Once he successfully completes assessment this month, the young royal will stand a better of chance of achieving his goal of returning to active service in Afghanistan. As an airborne soldier  he would enjoy greater anonymity than he did during his trip to the frontline last year when he was forced to return after news of his presence leaked.
