Gwyneth Paltrow relies on Beyonce for music advice

Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed she doesn't ask her husband Chris Martin for musical advice.

Despite being married to the Coldplay hit-maker, the Oscar-winning actress chooses not to go to him when it comes to music.

"[He's] a musical genius. It's like living with Picasso, and being like, 'Should I make a little something-something?'," she told US Elle.

Instead, Gwyneth approaches close friend Beyonce, who made a special trip to see her singing with Cee Lo Green at the Grammy Awards.

The Bootylicious diva told her to loosen up in her performances.

"Beyonce's like, 'Okay. The singing is great. But you're not having any fun'.

"She's like, 'Remember when we're at Jay's concert and Panjabi MC comes on and you do your crazy Indian dance? Do that. Be you!'," she recalled.

Both Beyonce and Jay-Z reckon Gwyneth, who has flexed her vocal chords in Glee, should record a solo album.

"Beyonce and Jay – they think that I should just go do it by myself.

"That I should go... in a studio and see what happens.

"And if it's good, do it. And if it's not, don't. So that's probably what I'll do," she added.
