David Gandy leads dog-loving celebrities in charity walk

Monday November 4, 2013

David Gandy, Mollie King, Daisy Lowe and Amanda Holden are just some of the celebrities who are taking part in a charity dog walk, organised by Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

The famous faces are putting themselves up for auction and offering bidders the experience of going on a half hour dog walk with them around Battersea Park, taking one of the charity's four-legged friends along for the stroll.

Hopefuls have until 8 November to bid for a walk with their favourite dog-loving celebrity on eBay.

"My dog Monty means the absolute world to me, so to be able to support Battersea in giving a second chance to lost and abandoned dogs is an absolute joy," said Daisy. "So come on, start placing your eBay bids and help us raise as much money as we can for Battersea."

"All the money raised through the auction will help more deserving animals find new loving homes," added Amanda. "I am really excited about going on my walkies with a couple of gorgeous Battersea dogs and a lucky winner."

The online auction will support the charity's annual Collars & Coats Gala Ball, which aims to raise as much money as possible to enable Battersea to care for thousands of dogs and cats.
