Seven-months-pregnant Paula Radcliffe on 10k run

Monday July 5, 2010

At seven months pregnant, most women would be putting their feet up. But not so for Paula Radcliffe.

The world-record-holding long distance runner completed a 10km charity run in Leeds at the weekend.

Paula was helping raise funds for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal - which makes money for children's and cancer charities – of which she is patron.

She still managed to complete the course in a perfectly respectable time of 45 minutes and 35 seconds. Her record time over 10km is 30 minutes and 21 seconds which she set in 2002.

And she was given an extra boost during the last 100 metres when she was joined by her three-year-old daughter Isla Lough.

She said after the race: "It's a tough course and we have to say thank you to all of the people who turned out today.

"I run every day and it felt good today. I was not concerned about running a time, it was about enjoying the day.
