X Factor winner's single to be in aid of charity

Friday December 5, 2014

This year's X Factor winner's single will be in aid of children's charity Together for Short Lives, it has been announced.

The competition currently stands between remaining acts Ben Haenow, Fleur East, Lauren Platt and Andrea Faustini, two of whom will perform their prospective winner's single during The X Factor live final at London's SSE Wembley Arena.

The song will be available to download immediately after the X Factor winner is crowned on the 14 December.

Simon Cowell said: "I have worked with this charity for many years and I'm delighted that the X Factor winner's single sales will help families who are going through unthinkably difficult times."

The single will be the seventh charity release from the hit show and the third winner's single with proceeds going to charity following Sam Bailey's number one hit release Skyscraper and James Arthur's million-selling release Impossible in 2012.
