David on Elton's piano sessions with Zachary

Thursday September 6, 2012

David Furnish has talked about the blissful  family life he leads with Elton John and their son, Zachary.

Speaking at the GQ awards, David, who left Elton at home to look after their two-year-old, was full of the joys of parenthood.

He said: "Elton sits him on his knee and plays piano for him. In fact I just spoke to him, and they were together, Elton was playing the horn and Zachary the triangle but he's more sporty than anything."

David also takes a hands-on role with his son. "I spent the summer teaching him how to swim," he added.

The pair have also expressed their desire to expand their family.

The producer said: "We are looking at it but it's not just a matter of clicking your fingers and it's done. It needs a lot of planning and thought."

The couple became parents to Zachary on Christmas Day, 2010.
