Brian offers to take girls until Kerry gets back on track

Troubled Kerry Katona's ex-husband Brian McFadden has revealed his plans to help her in caring for their two daughters.

Last week the former Westlife singer flew in from Sydney - where he lives with fiancée Delta Goodrem (pictured) - to see his girls among worrying reports about Kerry's wellbeing.

And although he has revealed he can't afford to go through a custody case, the singer has other solutions in mind.

"I want Kerry to give me the kids, and me and my mum will look after them for the next six months to a year to give her time to get her life together," he explained to the Mirror.

"Then they can go back. It's important to the kids to be with her."

"Kerry can't afford a court case at the moment," he said. "Neither of us can. Our last one pretty much cleaned me out."

"People think because I was in Westlife I must have millions of pounds. But I still have to work to live."

Kerry, who is going through a bad patch following the loss of her lucrative deal with Iceland, is believed to have asked Brian not to take Molly, eight, and Lilly-Sue, six, away from her.
