Lady Gaga refused entry to her old home

Tuesday February 8, 2011

Her global success doesn't mean Lady Gaga has access all areas.

The pop star’s plans to film the New York flat where she lived for three years before finding fame were scuppered when she was refused entry.

Arriving with a camera crew from 60 Minutes, a US current affairs programme, the singing sensation knocked on the front door said: “Hi, this is Lady Gaga.

"I was just wondering if I could say, ‘Hi.’”

However, the current resident responded: “I’d rather not have any cameras”.

Instead, the star had to settle for showing presenter Anderson Cooper a box of her treasured mementos.

One included the first song she wrote at the age of four, called Dollar Bills.

The Lady Gaga TV special is set to air in America on February 13.
