Tara adds to her musical repertoire with busking session

Tuesday September 8, 2009

Accomplished classical pianist Tara Palmer-Tomkinson got in tune with her musical side this week when she tried her hand at the double bass.

Thirty-seven-year-old former 'it girl' Tara joined a group of jazz musicians in London's Covent Garden where they entertained passers-by with their instrumental talents.

The trio were in the capital to help promote a new initiative called 'The NeverEndingSong'.

It will involve a group of performers - who between them have played for the likes of Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Robbie Williams -  playing a specifically-composed song non-stop for a week.

They will travel through various UK cities over the course of seven days, evolving the song as it picks up different regional influences.

Performances of the NeverEndingSong will take place in Pizza Express restaurants in London, Cardiff, Brighton, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Edinburgh throughout September.
