Prince William will be flying to New Zealand next week to visit areas devastated by natural disasters.
His fiancée Kate Middleton will be staying at home, however.
The plans were announced on Wednesday, the day after the Prince and Kate made their first trip to Northern Ireland.
William will begin his trip in Christchurch, where 160 people died in last month's earthquake.
He will then move onto Greymouth, where in November 29 people died - two of them British - in an explosion at the Pike River Mine.
Also scheduled is a trip to Australia, where the prince will call in on Queensland and Victoria. Both of which have been recently hit by floods.
A spokesman said: "The royal family have been watching the natural disasters with the same shock and sadness as everyone else.
"They wanted to show their solidarity with the people of New Zealand and Australia."
