Charles shares royal wedding joy in Christmas card

Friday December 9, 2011

During the jubilant royal wedding celebrations on April 29 the world was privy to many touching and unexpected moments.

From cart-wheeling clergymen to delightfully cute bridesmaids, some images stand testament to the unforgettable day enjoyed by all.

The shot of Prince Charles lifting three-year-old bridesmaid Eliza Lopes, the granddaughter of his wife Camilla, to give her a better look at the scene below Buckingham Palace was one of those moments.

And the heir to the throne has used the delightful photo for his official Christmas card this year.

The palace said the outside of each card features part of the Prince of Wales' crest and his wife's cypher.

On the inside, a red border surrounds the photograph opposite the words "Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year."
