Judge tells Lindsay Lohan: 'Don't push your luck'

Thursday February 10, 2011

A judge had stern words for actress Lindsay Lohan as she appeared in court on Thursday on a charge of grand theft.

The Hollywood starlet was there to plead not guilty to stealing a $2500 gold necklace.

Judge Keith Schwartz warned the 22-year-old that she faced jail if she committed any crime, no matter how small, before her next hearing in February.

The judge said: “If you violate the law I will remand you and set no bail.”

He added: “Look around this room.

"Everybody else has to follow the law. You’re no different than anyone else. So please, don’t push your luck.”

The Mean Girls star is still on probation for a 2007 drink-driving offence.
