Rihanna's ex Chris Brown to remain on probation

Friday February 10, 2012

A judge has said Chris Brown should remain on supervised probation despite doing well with the terms of his sentence in a case filed after he assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

Superior Court judge George Lomeli agreed with a prosecutor who said that the R&B singer should continue to check in at a probation office until after he completes the rest of his community service.

Chris has finished half of the six months of community service he was ordered to perform after pleading guilty to the attack that occurred the night before the Grammys in 2009.

The rapper's lawyer Mark Geragos asked the judge to end the singer's supervised probation at a brief hearing on Thursday and noted that a probation officer also recommends Chris' release terms be relaxed.

The news comes after it was announced that Chris will be making his Grammy comeback at the awards on February 12.
