While many of Terry Wogan's dedicated listeners couldn't wait to see how new presenter Chris Evans would fare at the helm of the Radio 2 breakfast show, it seems the Waking Up With Wogan veteran himself has been missing out.
Sir Terry, who retired from the slot in December after 27 years, has revealed he hasn't been tuning in to the programme - now called The Chris Evans Breakfast Show - since his departure.
"I sleep through it, I don't listen to it, I don't have time for it these days!" the 71-year-old tells the Daily Mirror.
"I have done that morning show and I'm on to different projects - I'm enjoying my retirement in bed doing nothing."
And although he's not a listener himself, the Irishman is encouraging audiences to give Chris a shot.
"It took me years to worm my way into people's affections. Give the lad a chance."
