Matt Lucas has revealed he kept his new TV show free of rude words to spare his mum's blushes.
The Little Britain funnyman's latest project, The Matt Lucas Awards, premieres on Tuesday on BBC One, with Matt's mum Diana joining in the fun.
Matt told the Sun: "I've got my mum in the show so I wanted to keep it clean - so the worst I can say is 'cobblers'.
"Some people said that Little Britain was a bit rude and Mum was one of those who thought it was a bit smutty. So as she is in this show, I didn't want it to be so rude.
"It was fun having her on. She's so unflappable and she's just retired so I thought 'Let's give her something to do!'."
Busy Matt also plays weirdo Franklin Franklin in new ensemble film Small Apartments, which premiered last month.
Meanwhile, his Little Britain co-star David Walliams has been busy appearing as a judge on ITV1's Britain's Got Talent.
Matt said of his comedy pal: "He's doing brilliantly."
