English actress Emily Blunt has taken a leaf out of Hugh Laurie's book when it comes to the best way to maintain an American accent.
The star of US series House famously maintains his American persona even after the cameras have stopped. And Emily says she also found immersion helped deliver the US accent called for by her new movie Cleaning Sunshine.
"If you're in America a lot it's easy to get into playing American," the 26-year-old English beauty had said. "But it's really hard to do the accent."
"It's worlds apart from what I grew up with."
The London-born actress - pictured in character on the set of her new comedy as a crime-scene cleaner - appeared in The Devil Wears Prada and played Queen Victoria in The Young Victoria
