First Family ladies experience fish and chips in London pub

America's First Lady Michelle Obama has been making the most of a two-day visit to London with her daughters Malia and Sasha. Not only have they taken in a London musical and seen the capital's key sights, they've also sampled Britain's famous fish and chips.

The family – minus First Dad Barack Obama  - caused a stir when they arrived at the upmarket Audley pub in Mayfair for dinner. Michelle opted for a steak, but Malia, ten, and eight-year-old Sasha both tucked into fish suppers.

"The girls were so sweet and polite. They thanked us every time we brought them something," revealed a waitress at the establishment, which has also played host to Dustin Hoffman and Elton John in the past.

The trio stayed on in Europe after President Obama returned to the US following the family's trip to France for the D-Day commemoration ceremonies. They flew in to the British capital after a few days in Paris.

As well as sampling the local cuisine, the group visited the Houses of Parliament, Downing Street and Westminster Abbey. They also took in a West End show, The Lion King. Other items on the agenda included a tour of the Pinewood Studios, home to the Harry Potter set
