Coleen Rooney focusing attentions on gravely ill sister

Friday September 10, 2010

While Coleen Rooney rides out the storm in her personal life the footballer's wife is focusing her attentions on a different family issue.

Rosie, Coleen’s 12-year-old sister who suffers from a genetic neurological disorder called Rett syndrome, has reportedly slipped into a coma.

Coleen - pictured on her way to hospital - and her parents have been spending their time at her bedside.

Very close to her young sibling, two years ago Coleen asked the then ten-year-old to act as her chief bridesmaid at her wedding, knowing how important it would be to the little girl.

Although being urged by her parents to take some time away from the country to think things through, the 24-year-old - who is still wearing her wedding ring - does not want to leave her little sister.

A source close to Coleen says: "Rosie is the single most important person right now."
