Gordon Ramsay sends open letter to his mother-in-law

Wednesday November 10, 2010

The Ramsay-Hutcheson family feud continues after Gordon published an open letter to his mother-in-law in the London Evening Standard asking that she stop “punishing” her daughter.

Ever since firing his father-in-law from the family business last month, Gordon says his in-laws, Chris and Greta Hutcheson, have accused him of turning their daughter Tana against them and blame her for sticking by her husband.

In the letter, the Hell’s Kitchen chef states that his mother-in-law had asked Tana to stay away from them which he admits is causing his wife a lot of agony and pain.

The 43-year-old defends the decision to fire his father-in-law, saying it was the “hardest and most important” decision of his life, but that he had to do what was best for the business.

He goes on to say that he hired a private investigator to look into his father-in-law’s affairs discovering “his away days were rarely what I thought they were”.

Gordon himself has also come under fire for what is seen to be airing the family’s dirty laundry in public by sending the letter to the newspaper instead of to his mother-in-law directly.
