Doctors have confirmed that Crown Princess Mary of Denmark will take her newborn twins home in the next couple of days.
The little boy and girl, who were born naturally, are currently undergoing a series of health checks before they can get the green light to go home.
Royal fans waiting for a glimpse of the new arrivals will be delighted at the news.
But no one will be happier than Mary's husband Prince Frederik, who is apparently exhausted after visiting the hospital daily whilst helping care for the couple's elder children Princess Isabella, three, and five-year-old Prince Christian.
Countess Alexandra, who was among the first to visit Mary, said she was "doing really well" and was up and about with "lots of energy".
Of Frederik, she said: "He looks more tired than her, but they are extremely happy.
"I think they will be happy to get home and start life as a whole family."
