I still love Katie says Pete as he talks of failed counselling

Friday June 12, 2009

Estranged couple Katie Price and Pete Andre underwent counselling in a last ditch attempt to save their union, it's been revealed.

The singer persuaded his wife, pictured heading out to dine with her mum and friends on Thursday, to attend marriage guidance sessions for the sake of their children, reports the Daily Mirror.

"It was Pete that left Katie. But not until he had done everything in his power to make the marriage work," a source told the newspaper.

"Neither of them take divorce lightly, and both wanted their relationship to work," added the insider.

Pop pin-up Pete is currently in China where he's due to appear at Friday's Bollywood film awards, which are held in a different country each year. He's due to perform Call The Doctor, a song apparently inspired by the failure of his marriage.

While there he opened his heart about the pain he's been through. "No matter what happens, you never stop loving someone," he said.

Katie, meanwhile, is seeking refuge from the heartbreak in her own work and equestrian activities. The TV personality has just bought a new mount for £15,000, called Jordan's Major Max, on which she hopes to compete at professional eventing fixtures
