Chemmy Alcott and her team of dedicated skiers have broken yet another world record. On 13 February The Arctic V, as they are known, smashed a Guinness World Record for the fastest mile tied together on roller skis.
The team, which is made up of Chemmy, Richard Gibbs, Adam Libbey, Chris Brooks and Max Willcocks, completed the challenge in 6 minutes 28 seconds – beating their ten minute target time.
Chemmy led the group, controlled the pace and called the timing.
The Arctic V's latest challenge was to help raise awareness of their charity Ski 4 Cancer. The team now have just over a month until they leave for Greenland for The Arctic Circle Race, 'The Worlds Toughest Ski Race.' which will see them cover 160 km cross country skiing over three days in temperatures plummeting to -35 degrees.
