Mila Kunis: Attractive women have hard time in acting

Wednesday July 13, 2011

Mila Kunis says that being attractive can make a Hollywood career more difficult.

The Black Swan actress, who co-stars with Justin Timberlake in new romantic comedy Friends With Benefits, told the US edition of GQ magazine that good-looking women find it hard to be taken seriously.

"The bottom line is if you're an attractive female in this industry, people just take you as that: attractive," she told the magazine.

"People aren't getting the opportunity to move beyond being attractive."

Mila, who found fame as a teenager alongside Ashton Kutcher in That 70's Show, continued: "You have no idea how hard it is for a woman in this business.

"A lot of people don't even think women are funny. You have to deal with guys like that. I've learned to roll with it."

She added: "It's not only with comedy. It could be with drama or action or whatever.

"People are distracted by looks. It happens. I'm not saying it happened to me, but it happens."
